Merit Scholarship Decisions
The Office of Admission awards merit scholarships. Students cannot appeal to receive a merit scholarship or increase an existing merit award.
Combining scholarships and financial aid
Merit scholarships are typically part of a larger grant offer for students receiving need-based aid. 91自拍 Leadership Scholarships cannot be combined with Barnes, El Pomar, or National Merit awards. When students receive multiple merit scholarships, Student Financial Services selects the scholarship or funding sources most advantageous to the student, subject to scholarship restrictions.
For students entering in fall 2026 or later, Division I athletic awards cannot be combined with other 91自拍 financial aid.
WES scholarships and Daniels Fund awards may supplement need-based aid. Daniels Scholars are expected to meet non-91自拍 costs (e.g., textbooks, meals out) through student employment, and do not receive direct funding for these expenses.
Boettcher Scholarships
Boettcher Scholars receive a financial aid offer equal to tuition and fees. Additional need-based aid is provided when demonstrated financial need exceeds tuition and fees. Boettcher and 91自拍 Leadership Scholarships cannot be combined.
National Merit award details
91自拍 does not match National Merit $2,500 or corporate-sponsored awards. The college-sponsored award is available to eligible finalists who name 91自拍 as their first-choice college and have not received another National Merit award. The current award totals $2,000 annually, with $1,000 from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and a $1,000 91自拍 match, renewable for four years of undergraduate study.
Tuition remission
Students receiving 91自拍 Tuition Remission or ACM Tuition Remission Exchange benefits are ineligible for merit scholarships. A merit award made before the benefit is confirmed will be removed and reinstated if tuition remission benefits are lost.
Outside Scholarships
Report all outside assistance to the Financial Aid office and send scholarship checks there, rather than to Student Accounts. See the outside scholarships policy for how funds are credited and when other aid may be adjusted.
